We grill steaks over the campfire, dice our own salads and cook what feels good. While we’re on the road, we hunt down the most legendary food spots of The South. Dishes you might try include:

  • Carolina mustard BBQ
  • Biscuits + gravy
  • Southern fried chicken

  • Shrimp + grits
  • STEAMED oysters
  • Jambalaya, gumbo + more!

Our Events + Inclusions

Our Dirty South Trip events + inclusions are chosen based on what a local would enjoy, rather than what “sells” in a worldwide travel brochure. Our Southern-approved events for 2020 include:

  • Jack Daniels tour + tasting (included)
  • River Tubes for floating (included)
  • Talladega NASCAR race ticket (included)
  • Charleston backyard oyster roast (included)

You’ll never see The South like you can with us. Come ready to appreciate Southern hospitality, see jaw-dropping events — with more than 90,000 fans in attendance — and experience the Deep South the way it should be done: on a down-to-earth road trip with friends!

Day 1: Ginnie Springs, FL

Today we head to Ginnie Springs — a central Florida private campground located on the Santa Fe River, better known to locals as the ultimate lazy river.

Day 2: Ginnie Springs + SEC Football

Grab your red solo cup and prepare for football tailgating, Southern style.

Day 3: Charleston, SC

Say goodbye to Florida and hello to the Deep South, where we’ll ramble through Savannah to indulge in any Southern cuisine in our path and, after our best Forrest Gump bench-sitting impression, make our way to Charleston to partake in a traditional, backyard oyster roast.

Day 4: Charleston + Boat Cruise

Rise and shine on your free day in Chucktown.

Day 5: Asheville, NC

Hop on board and enjoy our drive through the Carolinas toward the “Brew City” of Asheville, a laid-back hippie town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina.

Day 6: Nashville, TN + Smokey Mountains

Discover your inner hiker as we drive amongst the red and yellow leaves of the Appalachians, the oldest mountain chain in the world.

Day 7: Nashville + Grand Ole Opry

Today is your free day in Music City. You can visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, check out the Johnny Cash Museum or shop for boots on Lower Broadway.

Day 8: Talladega, AL + Jack Daniels Tour

Now that you’re an expert on country music, we can jam—loud and proud—on our way to Talladega for NASCAR.

Day 9: Talladega Free Day

Gentleman (and ladies), start your engines. ‘Dega is your chance to immerse yourself in the NASCAR culture.

Day 10: Talladega + NASCAR Race

Don your American flag for Race Day, when you pose in front of the Talladega sign, roam around the track grounds, or stop over by the merchandise shop to support your favorite driver.

Day 11: New Orleans, LA + University of Alabama

Bid ‘Dega farewell as we make our way south along the countryside of Alabama and arrive in New Orleans by sundown.

Day 12: New Orleans Free Day

Today is your food coma day. You can sample New Orleans pralines, gobble down a po’boy or fill your belly with a bowl of gumbo from the French Market.

**Attention: Many factors such as traffic, wildlife, bad weather, road construction, fires or hurricanes may reroute our itinerary due to safety. We may even miss an event or two. Please be ready to roll with the punches if that happens. It’s not an adventure ‘til something goes wrong, right?

“Talladega, the undoubtedly the highlight, a southern cultural zenith. The same feel-good vibes as a music festival but instead of being excited about music people are excited about NASCAR.”

“Just as you would see in those roadtrip movies. Relaxed and cruisy with strangers who quickly will become your friends, while seeing America the right way. And what is the right way? Not just visiting the tourist traps, but also visiting some lesser visited (NASCAR infield camping, Highschool football) places.”
